Country powerhouse Lauren Alaina has officially entered her “most melodic and sassy era yet” with the release of her first single of 2026, “Raining Whiskey.” The track, which Alaina describes as the moment “heartbreak meets happy hour,” arrives on the heels of the massive success of “All My Exes (feat. Chase Matthew).” That previous collaboration saw the biggest first-week streaming numbers of her career and currently sits comfortably in the Top 30 at country radio after being the most-added song for two consecutive weeks.

“It’s raining whiskey in this bar
Two in the morning and it’s pouring on a broken heart
Yeah I can hear the thunder roll when I throw them back
Yeah you know as long as you ain’t with me
There’s a 100-proof chance it’s raining whiskey in this bar”

The new single represents a reflective milestone for the Georgia native. Written by a heavy-hitting team including Ben Johnson and Hunter Phelps, “Raining Whiskey” allows Alaina to look back on the rocky past of her twenties from the eyes of her thirties. “It represents a completely different stage of my life than the one I am in now,” Alaina shared, “but it reflects one that I’m glad I lived through.” This new chapter follows a monumental 2025 where she balanced hit singles with high-profile hosting duties for the CMA Awards Backstage Live.
