Steel Panther Brings the “Twenty Twenty $ex Tour” To Pittsburgh

Steel Panther is not your typical glam metal band. They’re loud, raunchy, deliberately over the top, and completely unbothered by it. On April 26 in McKees Rocks, they delivered exactly that—an unfiltered, high energy performance that blurred the line between concert and spectacle. They rocked the socks (and tops) off the Pittsburgh crowd.

Before the main event took center stage, Cody Parks and The Dirty South set the tone for the night. Coming up from, you guessed it, the South, Cody Parks and The Dirty South have an interesting way of doing things. Mixing blends of rock and country music, this is definitely a band you want setting the tone. They had the crowd singing fan favorites like Thunder Crash ‘69 and Redneck Rich.

By the time Steel Panther took the stage, the crowd was already warmed up and ready for what was next. From the first moment of their set, the band leaned fully into their over the top persona, combining a high-energy performance with unapologetic humor.

Throughout the night, they tore through fan favorites like Eyes of a Panther and Death to All But Metal, each one met with loud, immediate reactions from the crowd. The energy never dipped, with the audience shouting lyrics back and feeding off the band’s constant momentum.

Beyond the music, the show was defined by how much the band interacted with the crowd. Between songs, Steel Panther kept the energy going with constant jokes, banter, and playful crowd work, turning the entire room into a part of the show.

A lot of humor came from spontaneous exchanges with the audience, with the band feeding off reactions in real time. Nothing felt scripted in the moment—just quick comebacks, exaggerated stories, and a constant push-and-pull with the crowd that kept the atmosphere loose and loud.

Steel Panther is definitely a band that everyone should see at least once, just don’t see them with your parents like I did. I had the pleasure, if you can call it that, of being called out for one of their bits. Needless to say, that was an interesting experience to have while my parents were standing next to me. All in all, it was a great show and I will definitely be seeing them again.
