SHARPTONE WELCOMES ROCHESTER, NEW YORK BAND GLASSWAVES TO THE ROSTER

BAND DROPS VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “FVCK.ME.UP” — WATCH

SharpTone Records just added Rochester, New York’s Glasswaves to their roster.

To kick things off, the band dropped a new single called “fvck.me.up” along with a video you can watch now. The track leans into that mix of dark pop, alt rock, and electronic textures with a heavy edge that Glasswaves are quickly becoming known for.

Noah Rich (vocals) says the song actually started out as something totally different before it evolved into this blend of glitchy electronics and big guitars. Once the chorus hit, everything fell into place. Lyrically, it’s about that kind of destructive love and emotional pull where you know something isn’t good for you but you can’t quite walk away.

He also adds that it fits into the bigger world Glasswaves are building, touching on losing control and giving into something bigger than yourself, whether that’s a person, your own mind, or something else entirely. And this track is just the beginning of a larger story they’ll keep unfolding.

On signing to SharpTone, the band said it feels pretty surreal. It’s a label they’ve looked up to for a while, and being connected to SharpTone’s history with Nuclear Blast makes it even more meaningful for them. They felt like dropping “fvck.me.up” was the perfect way to start this new chapter.

Glasswaves formed in 2023 with Owen Miller on guitar and Brendan Curtis on bass, and in a short time they’ve built a reputation for mixing atmospheric, emotional moments with really heavy, explosive energy. Their sound jumps between moody, electronic-driven sections and huge impactful drops that feel cinematic but still raw.

They also lean into a strong visual identity with their war paint aesthetic, and their live shows are known for being intense and fully immersive.

In 2025, they won the grand prize at the Ernie Ball Battle of the Bands, landed a main stage slot at Warped Tour, and played nearly 60 shows across about 80 days on the road. That run really solidified them as a rising live force.

Now with SharpTone behind them, Glasswaves are stepping into a bigger spotlight and pushing their sound even further as they build momentum in the alt and heavy scene.
